Delete Your Account
You can delete your OzDeals account directly from the app. Follow the steps below.
- Open the OzDeals app
- Go to the Profile tab (bottom right)
- Tap Settings
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Your account and your personal data are promptly and permanently deleted. The deals and comments you posted stay online in pseudonymised form — see below.
Data deleted immediately
- Account credentials and profile information (username, email, avatar)
- Votes, saved deals, and alerts
- Badges and DealCred points
- FCM notification tokens
Data retained
- Deals and comments you posted — they remain visible but are pseudonymised: your username is replaced with "Deleted User" and your photo with a default avatar, while an internal account identifier stays attached to that content so the platform's records stay consistent
- Moderation records, including any reports you submitted, which keep the identifier of the account that filed them
- Messages you sent us through Contact Us, kept in our support records and deleted automatically after 12 months — email us if you want them removed sooner
